ISERGEBIRGS MUSEUM
NEUGLABONZ
KAUFBEUREN

At dawn of the 24.10.2021, the unique facade of the Isgerbirgs Museum was illuminated in color for the first time. Behind the façade, a large lettering encourages passers-by to “Reinkukn” – a German Slang word for “to take a look inside”. The aluminum sheets with oversized 3D-perforation are a reminiscence of the Gablonz industry. All panels are custom made and were designed together with a team of architects from Stadtmüller.Burkhardt.Graf. To match the rest of the already existing building, they decided to use anodized aluminum E6/C32. The differently sized elements are folded on all sides and were installed staggered above each other, to create a curtain wall effect.
