Fielitz GmbH was involved in RPBW’s first project in Turkey, “Istanbul Modern” – the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, located on the waterfront of Karaköy, one of Istanbul’s most historic districts, where the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn meet.

Above the transparent first floor, the building exterior consists of a series of 3D-shaped aluminum panels that interact with the changing sunlight. The reflections bouncing off the promenade create a fascinating dynamic between light and shadow.
Using our unique 3D fluid forming technology, we were able to produce these special 3D panels to turn the architect’s vision into reality.
